About Me

My love for crafting and DIY began at a very young age. Maybe because I am the first born child, maybe because I am an Aries, or just maybe because I inherited the DIY gene from my grandma- I’ve always wanted to show that I could do EVERYTHING myself.

When I was very young, kits like “Paint by Numbers,” “Sand Art,” “Light Bright,” and “Spin Art,” made it easy for to let my creative juices flow. I felt like a modern day Picasso at 5.

As I got older, I became obsessed with the “Hot Loop” craze. I spend the entire summer of 1992 creating a link of hot loops that stretched 7 times around my house. I eventually instilled the help of my grandma (Memma) to assist me in making this link into a rug. I made a rug virtually “all by myself”! Not too shabby for a 7 year old.

Next, Memma taught me how to knit. Just a simple stitch, but I thought was the queen of creation. Every person in my family received some sort of scarf or headband for Christmas 1994.

As the years went by, I taught myself how to cross stitch, sew, and become extremely proficient with a hot glue gun. And although I don’t consider myself the master of anything, I am extremely good at everything I set my mind to…craft wise that is.

I’ve always been a busy bee- constantly moving and on the go. With extreme attention to detail, the love of DIY, and using a play on my last name (Biziorek), I started Miss Bizi Bee to share my passion for creation. I hope to inspire others that it really isn’t hard to do most EVERYTHING yourself.

I currently reside in the sunny town of Walnut Creek, just outside of San Francisco, with my handsome (and tech-savvy) husband Travis. Without him, and his guidance and support, this website would not be possible. Feel free to check him out at Kibin.com.
